If your like many manufacturers in the USA, then the term “busy” feels right at home. From managing new projects to maintaining inventory to generating new business, it seems like your days never end…There are many do-it-yourself website builders to make it easy for anyone, right? Well, sure there are…but are they really as easy as they say? No. And more importantly, they do not look professional nor do they contain the proper elements for your manufacturing website to rank well in the search engines.
There are endless minor details to know about and the standards of the internet world are constantly changing. Not to mention Google, Yahoo and Bing continuously change their search algorithms. If you’re using WordPress, you need to ensure that you always have the latest software updates your website from being hacked. If you’re using XHTML/CSS then you need to stay on top of the latest web standards to ensure your website displays properly.
So what I am getting at is that you can’t put up a website and call it a day. It’s an on-going effort to manage an effective website. And if your like most manufacturers, adding a website to your long to do list is the last thing you should have to worry about. Your time is money – and should it best spent doing what you do best – manufacturing products – that’s is where your time is best spent.
